here’s what went down at the july meeting if you missed it.

-12 prayer shawls were delivered to victory in the valley cancer support group

-$45 was collected for food 4 kids and will be used to buy book bags for the kids

now onto new business

25 chemo caps were collected!!! Janet and Sandy delivered the caps to the Hutch Clinic, Medical Center, and Dr. Braun’s office. while they were there they found out there is also a need for mittens and scarves during the winter to hand out to patients so get those needles warmed up!

janet would like to express her sincerest thanks to all that have contributed to the knit 1 help many group. none of this would have been possible without you so give yourselves a pat on the back from janet and all who benefit from your work. thank you.

the theme for july is the squares for the afgans but we are really close to taking another batch  of things to new beginnings so if you’re in the mood to knit some children’s items or if you are taking the baby surprise jacket class (hint hint) we will collect children’s items. and don’t forget as you’re travelling this summer to pick up the hotel soaps and shampoo. we will package them up with washcloths and send them to new beginnings as well.

sept.– “think pink” & Komen Race for the Cure—stock up on pink yarn (except june g. you are forbade from using pink this month :))

our first big project was a basket of knitted baby items for the Reno County Cancer Auction. check it out…..we done good!
