We are sooooo very Thankful and full at yarn.

Its Black Friday, but here at yarn it has been a very colorful day.  I have had some lovely ladies in knitting and keeping me company, the yarn and the conversation was very fun and colorful, thanks ladies.  There have also been several out-of-towners that have come to check out yarn, and we are very thankful to them for taking the time out of their busy shopping, eating, and visiting schedule.   It was very fun helping all of you, and we hope those projects turn out great!!!  I do want to take a moment to be serious (Shannon does wit and sarcasm so much better, so I won’t even go there) and to thank each and everyone of you for your support these last three years.  I am truly blessed to have met and become friends with soooooo many wonderful people.  I can’t begin to put into words how thankful I am for all of you and what you bring to our yarn community.  It is never dull and, after all, where else would you see 9ft needles, dancing yarnettes and soooo much happiness.  So thank you again and I look forward to seeing all of you and all of your knitted projects in the coming months.  Since I can’t keep begin to knit as fast and I can find great projects, I’ll have to live vicariously through all of you.   Don’t be a stranger and maybe if I am real lucky I will have a CHLC sighting before the Thanksgiving weekend is over.  I would be super thankful for that!!!! along with Julie’s awesome pumpking pie.   Julie, you made me look great at dessert time on Thanksgiving.

the perfect poncho:check out the look of wonder and excitement on deb w. face…i mean that kind of expression of joy is normally reserved for young children and small dogs…don’t you want to knit this awesome poncho? (seriously we are uber glad that deb w. is back and she kind of knit the samples for december single-handed)

snuggly slippers: these are warm, fuzzy, and perfect for winter. (also knit by deb w….we really were lost without her)

an ode to my GoKnit pouch

oh GoKnit pouch, how do i love thee? let me count the ways…

one: a couple of weeks ago when i was forced privileged to attend the k-state/ou game, my trusty GoKnit pouch kept my knitting free from stadium gunk. though i have learned that should i find myself in that situation again i will be sure to pack knitting on circular needles..perhaps socks. anywho..if you notice in the photo my poor brother, bug, is well and truly squished. i poked him with my needles more than once and a least some of those times were on accident.

Two: when i got up before the sun to vote this morning you helped me to confuse the old people (she a radical young person with PINK hair, but she is knitting…i don’t know whether to shake my fist or pat her back) really the expressions this morning almost made me glad i wasn’t in bed. AND i was productive. i gained three inches while i stood in line. also, side note, you can use a collapsible pen as a cable needle if you are desperate.

my GoKnit pouch brings me joy….you should get one…then you could have joy too.

join us for twisted stitches tonight, where we promise a complete “political free” zone. no politics will be discussed..none…seriously.

p.s. i’m sitting here looking at jean ramsey…she’s baaaaccck! get excited people.
