freddie….sorry can’t resist a stupid rhyme. (i did teach preschool, you know)
we are in countdown mode for a lot of very special events coming up here at yarn. did you know that the state fair is next week? crazy huh?
our exciting felting seminar with jennifer lippman-bruno is also next week. thursday september 4 and friday september 5-10 to 11am OR friday september 5-6 to 7pm and saturday september 6-10 to 11am. if you have not signed up yet, time is a-wasteing. look at the fabulous jacket you could learn how to make!

and you get to work with the woman who designed and wrote the pattern! don’t miss this awesome opportunity.
hey do you remember all the fun that the twisted stitches had at the fair last year? you know, freaking out the judges, racing on the giant slide, eating really really really obnoxious food? we doing it agian this year sept. 9th. be there or be square.
i don’t think the sept. newsletter ended up on the blog so i’m just going to insert it HERE!! (sept-08-news1)
and now i’m going to leave you with photos of our beautiful store all rearranged for fall. crazy aunt mary strikes again.

oh and everyone should sign up for my class!
cheers! shannon
i going to be honest here……i think that i might design these camps to be mostly fun for me. i mean its like a party everyday. so much so that it seemed like a crime to not show you some pictures of our fun times….just to make you jealous that you weren’t here.

yup, there is the gang…..they look so calm and innocent don’t they? yeah….right.

you know that old myth that little girls are danity…take a look at the crockpot in the middle of the table. it holds my (sort of) famous spagetti. that thing was full of spagetti. full to the stinking brim. they finished it all before everything was said and done.

thank you miss patty for the cookies…..we obviously enjoyed them.

this time around the fabulous deb w. helped us dye silk scarves. this was a really groovey project, i mean who doesn’t enjoy tie dye? actually i think this would be a fun class for adults too…maybe be we should offer it. what do you guys think?

see? pretty!

just in case you we worried we did get some actual knitting done. the girls made fingerless mittens, bracelets, button necklaces….

oh and there is the water fight…..you know i’m kind of used to looking like the toughest chick in the room, but check out allison’s face in this picture. wow.

you know what? i take it back, i think the kids might have had as much fun as i did. keep an eye out for our saturday kids classes in the fall!
rock on…shannon
okay, well just a little bit, but who isn’t?
so you might have noticed a somewhat huge drop off in the amount of blogs lately……i could give you excuses like, “we had to update our web program”, and “i live in two different cities, but mostly in my car”, or “i was busy sorting out the world ending crisies of tween divias” i could say these things, but talk is cheap. let me just assure you that in the coming months you are going to hear more from me than you probably want to.
first and foremost we need to apologize for the serious tech problems that we had. apparently, people had been trying to contact us via our mail on our website…..this was a flawed mail system and we are in the process of cleaning all of that up. *mail chimp rocks by the way* poor meredith…you were always approved in our hearts even if not by our stupid technology.
now the tease part….here is a quick overview of some of the topics i will be writing about in the near future.
camp purl/andrea’s brilliant death scene/the state fair and the cascade contest/our felted garment seminar with Jennifer from knowknits/the upcoming yarnhop/our birthday party……
get excited people cause there is no getting rid of me now.
