holy mackerel there is a whole smear of things going on with yarn! first, the new and exciting december newsletter is up and ready for all of you. sign up for classes, because i think i’m teaching a lot this month….support the arts (ie help shannon pay rent) second, yarn has joined “the downtown holiday project”(this is what i have decided to call it becuase when i asked debbie she gave me a far less helpful title) . orginizations around town have set up themed holiday tables in downtown businesses. from what i have been told you can vote on your favorite table at frease drug, vote for yarn, our theme is awesome. puttin on the knitz………get it?

gold star for andrea, who is a freaking genius. and finally, our very own over-achiever is putting on her 8th annual clay creations christmas show. friday nov. 30, 4-8:30pm and saturday dec. 1, 9am-2pm. stop by and check out the fruits of her obsevisive craftiness. gold stars for cindy’s flying monkey ornaments and insomnia. and gold stars for me, cause the newsletter is done, i have completed a blog, and i’m still alive. 4 more days of tour before my winter break. whoo hoo….cheers, shannon.

Good golly!  The first ever Central Kansas Yarn Hop this past weekend was more fun than knitters should be allowed to have.  There were new techniques, and new friends - knitting and fudge.  It doesn’t get much better than that. If you’re one of our regular customers who stopped by, we hope you enjoyed our new products and displays.  If you were one of the parties out exploring what Central Kansas has to offer yarn-a-holics, we hoped you enjoyed stopping by as much as we enjoyed seeing your smiling faces.

And then there are the holidays which - heaven forbid - start next week.  Stop in the Friday after Thanksgiving and make one of our cool new yarn Christmas trees.  You don’t even need to know how to knit to do these so bring along that visiting relative who claims to be creatively challenged.  They’ll walk out with the coolest decoration ever - - - see?
